A 1 Sheer Gardening and Landscaping
verbally abusive non-negotiating company
“I had hired A-1 sheer gardening and landscaping to trim shrubs, weed, deadhead hydrangea, raking and hauling of material. Once the job was done I was called and told the final price.I stated to Dolly Cheema that my husband and I were not satisfied with the work done on the back yard of the property. Trimming wasn't finished (boxwood on the front of the property and other shrubs on the hillside of the backside of the property). The hydrangeas were cut back extremely and Gurdip Cheema was told to only deadhead the largest hydrangea. Some weeding was also left undone. When Dolly Cheema was told this she put Gurdip on the phone. I preceeded to tell him the same thing and he got aggresive saying the plants will grow back and that the boxwoods weren't in the price quote. With this aggresiveness my husband and I decided we didn't want this company to come back to our property. When we tried to renegotiate a price for the work done (front yard was done to satisfaction) Dolly got verbally threatening and harassing. She said there is no room for negotiation and expexcted to be paid in full regardless of the damage to plants that had been done and also work not finished. She also told me she was going to write letters to my manager and CEO of my job and let them know what type of an employee they have. I was told GOD would punish me for what I am doing. Dolly also told me that she has been in the landscaping business for 20 years and she knows how to destroy people. I was called EVIL. It's EVIL people like me who try to get services for free by saying that a branch is broken a quote from Dolly. Not once during my conversation with Dolly did I ever say that they didn't deserve some kind of compensation, just not the full amount quoted. Dolly was yelling at me for most of the phone call that eventually I asked for the company mailing address to be able to mail out some sort of monetary compensation. I hired another landscaping company that came out and finished the job with comlete satisfaction. The aggresive nature of both Gurdip Cheema and Dolly Cheema is uncalled for. All that my husband and I had asked for was just a renegotiation in price. People like this should not be allowed to treat customers the way they did. It's shamefull.” -

Sterling Landscaping
Horrible Customer Services
“Sterling did all of the landscaping at our new Buchan home in the spring of 2007. We moved in the home in July 2007 and two of the trees were on the verge of dying. Sterling marked the trees as such and said they would be happy to replace if they didn't make it. Well after that winter, they were dead and we cannot get Sterling to come back out to replace them. I call at least twice a month and get the run around...horrible customer service. I just want my new trees and I will never use them again! ” -

Parsons Landscaping “We ordered a cord of wood from Parson's Landscaping. A cord is defined as 4'X 4'X 8' when stacked. This equates to 128 cubic feet. Once we had the wood stacked we had two stacks of wood 7'X 6'X 1' and one small stack of 2' X 5'. This ended up being 94 cubic feet. In other words, we were shorted by 34 cubic feet or roughly a half-pickup truck load of wood. \nIn addition, we were promised that the cord would contain 80-90% fir and we were lucky if it's 60% with the rest being maple and alder. Also, we were told that the length would be 16. In reality, the average length is 12 with quite a few as short as 6 long. Repeated phone calls have not resolved this issue. I have asked to speak to the owner but he's never in, I've only dealt with Roger, apparently the office guy. \n”
