Avalon Lighting Design is a full-service, landscape lighting design-installation operation. Avalon was established in 1999 to serve the Sacramento market. Design is my competitive advantage, as I am nationally recognized as a published author and educator in this specialized art form. I approach design by the "intent" of the space--how it is to be used and what the desired atmosphere (mood) is needed by the owner. The goal of any lighting design is to create positive experiences and to provide well-being through my work. I perform a limited number of projects per year, due to my educational efforts--the Experiential Landscape Lighting Initiative (ELLI). I select projects based on how interesting they are and if they can provide affect.
